If they do make an elder scrolls 5 what would you want in it? New weapons, skills, magic, bigger world, harder difficulty? Feel free to post as much as you wantWhat you would like to see in The Elder Scrolls 5?
I'd like to see a more life-like and realistic AI for the NPCs than what they had in Elder Scrolls 4. Make the NPCs truly independent entities that have a mind of their own, such that they remember their previous conversations with other NPCs and the player, and have their own unique opinions about the world and so forth. Instead of walking around aimlessly and talking randomly about mud crabs or goblins with every NPC they bump into, they should be able to engage in intelligent conversations along the lines of:
NPC A: "Greetings, how are things with you?"
NPC B: "Fine, just visited the weapons merchant. They have some new silver claymores on sale." (And when the player visits the said weapons merchant, they would actually find a number of silver weapon on sale which they could buy.)
NPC A: "That's good news for adventurers who might want to fight those cursed ghosts."
NPC B: "I prefer to fight them with magic spells. The weapons merchant charges too high a price for silver weapons."
NPC A: "So I've heard. I'm on my way to the tavern for an ale or two, let's talk more there."
NPC B: "I'd like that. The innkeeper was a veteran warrior in his younger days, he might have some interesting tales to tell." (The player could then follow the two NPCs to the local inn and talk to the innkeeper about how to fight certain monsters and hear stories about past battles.)
In addition to giving them 24-hour schedules, make the NPCs behave more dynamically and responsive so that they could do unexpected things. For example, if they are asleep and a thief (be it another NPC or the player) breaks into their home and they get woken up, they should be able to run to the guards and call for help and might not sleep for a few hours after the event (just like an average person might if their home has been broken into all of a sudden), rather than wake up for a few seconds and then go back to sleep as if nothing happened. The next day, that same NPC might behave more paranoid and cautious towards the player and other NPCs they are not close to, and the following night the player may find that the door to that NPC's home has been magically locked or barricaded.
It would be good if Elder Scrolls 5 could implement the need for the player to eat, drink and sleep several hours a day, like what they are implementing for Fallout: New Vegas. Depending on how much physical exertion the player has made during the day (for example, clearing out a dungeon full of crazed imps), the player would need to eat more or less food, and sleep a few more hours to recover their stamina and health.
The political and economy should be a bit more alive and actually shifting just like in the real world. Assassinations, abdications and changing allegiances and sovereignty in the different cities should all affect the game world in some way. For example, if the local magistrate in a town is deposed because of the local NPCs (all of which have advanced AI which means they will plot and scheme to change world events) then there might be a citizen riot which might cause the prices to skyrocket and the player might suddenly find themselves the target of the now lawless mob. The Imperial City might then send legions of soldiers to quell the uprising, and the player would then have the choice of siding with the citizens and gain their favor by resisting the Imperial guards or join the guards in stamping out the rebellion, and in the process gaining favor with the Emperor who might award the player with gold or maybe even a rank in the legion.
I think these are just some of the things I'd like to see in Elder Scrolls 5. If these ideas seem new or somehow impossible to implement, I think it's not so much that it can't be done but whether Bethesda Softworks is willing to invest the time and money needed to make it happen. What you would like to see in The Elder Scrolls 5?
some new weapons for sure (cant really say what, im not very creative in that way lol) i think the skills are fine though. i would take a lot more magic, i kind of felt like it was all the same thing, you know lol?
other than that i think everything was good, but maybe some more expansions or just make the game longer, if thats possible
