Do I need to play the other games so i can get what is going on?Is skyrim good if I never played Elder Scrolls?
Neither have I and I still managed to log 70+ hours in the game. It definitely is worth it.
I never bought any other Elder Scrolls game before either until I heard some people mention it, so I decided to check it out. The general idea of the game was picked up for me after a few hours of gameplay. Plus how big the world is and how long the game will last you'll most likely love the game.

Skyrim is a great game. If you have ever played any form of fallout (3 or 4) then it plays very similarly to that. It is basically fallout without guns and with magic :) with a large vast map and if you enjoy it, you will be spending much more time on it than you think.
No, the stories of the games aren't linked. Playing the previous games (especially Oblivion) would help you get into the controls and idea of the game easier, but you can still get into the game pretty easily.Is skyrim good if I never played Elder Scrolls?
yeah its awesome ive never played any of the other ones and this is by far one the best games i have ever gotten its 300+ hours long and theres alot of stuff to do you'll never get bored unless you run out of quests which is hard.l
I had never played elder scrolls but skyrim is definitely worth buying, it has so many different roots to go down and doesn't force you to do one specific thing. I can spend hours playing it and I would definitely recommend it.
I have over 300 hours into this game and have never played any other elder scrolls games it is very good slightly addicting for me.
Yeah it's still good I haven't played Elder Scrolls either.
