What elder scrolls game should i start with?

What elder scrolls game should i start with? What game is the start of the series? For example, if you wanted to get into the fallout game series you would start with fallout 3 not 1 or 2 because they have nothing to do with the main story and are pretty bad in my opinion.What elder scrolls game should i start with?

I don't think any of them have anything to do with a main story. I mean you could play any of them without having to have played another one. With that said play Morrowind. Very fun, very free big world. Oblivion was fun until I beat the main story which was like 10 hours. They took out a lot of cool things from Morrowind like levitating and its too easy because they have a marker to tell you where to go. In Morrowind you actually have to explore and go off of vague clues to find what you're looking for. Much more fun:) Oblivion just felt like a set of instructions. Accept quest. Warp here. Fight vampire. Go back to person and get paid. Really fun....not.
