How good is Elder Scrolls : Skyrim?

I haven't played earlier elder scrolls games and I hear this one is really good. But I like a good story. Does Skyrim has a new story or is it continued from earlier games?How good is Elder Scrolls : Skyrim?
There's some of both; if you've kept up with the plotlines from previous games, you'll pick up on why certain things are happening in the world. If you're new to the series, the game does a great job of telling you exactly what you need to know and allowing you to explore deeper if you want. Either way, the main storyline is pretty engrossing. And, as if that weren't enough, as with the previous Elder Scrolls games, you may choose to completely ignore the main plot and try your hand at 244 different quests, work on your skillset, or take up some good ole-fashioned dragon-slayin'. Overall, great game.
Skyrim is a pretty awesome game,i bought my copy for ps3 but the ps3 version has some serious lag issues,like every now and again the game just starts chugging and ive read a heap of complaints from others who suffer the same problem but its still a great game other than that.How good is Elder Scrolls : Skyrim?
You don't have to play the other games, i never did and got skyrim and love it. Dragons have returned to take over the empire and you are the only one who can save it. You are dragonborn and you have speical powers to stop the dragons.

You don't have to play the earlier games to follow it. But there are a lot of references to the last game. Oblivion. Which makes it a little more enjoyable. But either way it's a great game.
Not at all, to play sky rim you need absolutely no previous knowledge of the past games. It's a really good RPG and I reccomend getting it. Trust me. You'll have hours of playtime easy.
