Would Elder Scrolls Oblivion be a good choice as my first game?

for my very first PS3 game, would Elder Scrolls Oblivion be a good choice? I need a game that will keep my busy for quite a wile because I probably wont get another game until christmas or, if im lucky, before that but not for a long time. I enjoy rpg games, so i thought it would be a good game for lasting long.Would Elder Scrolls Oblivion be a good choice as my first game?
This game will really last a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn鈥?time.. AND I REALLY MEAN ITS THAT LONG there are lots of side quests, many guilds to join, many places to roam around... Then theres the main game with the main quests and such... All the armour to collect... You could spend 10 hours + and not even touch the main game (Doing secondary quests etc.) Itd be a great started game.
Yes ive played it and its greatWould Elder Scrolls Oblivion be a good choice as my first game?
I'm not the expert on this kind of thing (i have a wii) but what you could do is go to gamespot.com. they have great reviews and plenty of ratings. research before you buy an expensive game. that's what i've learned...the hard way.
yes because. its long and addicting . but its only fun, for the player , spectators , will be bored , so you wont have any problems with distractions, from others. trying to help you out, but ya its a good game , but if you get it , . Buy the original Oblivion.+the expansions. DONT BUY THE GAME OF THE YEAR , its gliched badly, i owend it, and almost lost my data.Would Elder Scrolls Oblivion be a good choice as my first game?
Yes, Oblivion is a great starting game, it also has hours and hours of play time (i loged 304 hours or something like that on the 360 and 106 hours on the ps3) if you don't like spending money on games with little replay value, this is the perfect game for you. You can replay this game as many times as you'd like and it will never get old. it will also keep you busy until you find another game.
205 quests, most of decent length.

I could very easily end the answer there. Oblivion is a game you can never officially beat, because once you finish the main quest you can keep wandering around, doing the 185ish quests that don't go with the main quest. That, and two of those 205 quests will never actually be listed as completed, so you can never finish all the quests you can start. It's very easy to become addicted to this game due to the beauty of it(inner beauty, not so much outer beauty :P). Unless poor graphics absolutely kill a game for you, you will at the very least enjoy Oblivion.

There is not much repetition in the quests either, so you won't feel like you're just doing the same thing. The replay value is strong, because by the time you finish 203 quests you won't remember the first 20, and by the time you've finished those 20 you won't remember the next 20, and so on. Plus, you have a large variety of specialties (marksmanship and magic, for example) to choose from, as well as a nice variety of races (lizards, humans, elves, orcs and cats) and a different selection will make the game experience different, though how different is entirely up to you. You can also make the game harder or easier whenever you want to, so if you feel like it's too easy, there's a solution.

I can't think of a better choice of game to keep you occupied till Christmas than Oblivion.
ya because it is a awesome game
