Do I have to play The Elder Scrolls 1 to play The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for x box360?
Im looking for the best role playing game. And I have been told that The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion was the best. Do you think that, and do I miss any info if I don't play the first 3 games of the saga?Do I have to play The Elder Scrolls 1 to play The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for x box360?
No, most people don't even know there was one before oblivion.
A resounding NO
Good luck and Happy gamingDo I have to play The Elder Scrolls 1 to play The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for x box360?
No you wouldn't. I havent played them and from what I hear elder scrolls 1 and 2 where awfull anyway. If you are not on a budget I would wait till elder scrolls V scyrim realeses on 11/11/11 it is going to be epic but will cost about double of what oblivion is going for. Other great games that play just like oblivion and are made by same company is fallout 3 and fallout new Vegas. Basically same thing just future post apocalyptic theme.Do I have to play The Elder Scrolls 1 to play The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for x box360?
No. They're in the same world, but each takes place in a different area. A few books in the game talk about the other places, but you don't have to read them.
Not really, they all take place in the same world and a few things cross over, but each game is it's own story.

Is Fallout 3 a good game? How does it compare with Elder Scrolls 4?
I heard that Fallout 3 was created by the same makers as the Elder Scrolls series. I've played Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and completely loved it. Does that mean I'll love Fallout 3 as well?Is Fallout 3 a good game? How does it compare with Elder Scrolls 4?
Anyone who says they are exactly the same, need to really play the games.
I'd say they are roughly 50% similar. It really depends on what you liked about Oblivion. You will most likely enjoy Fallout 3. The only things I can think of that Fallout 3 lacks in comparison to Oblivion is Fallout 3 doesn't have Capturing Environments and visuals, has too much Gore for some, and lacks in real Role Playing.
Fallout 3 and Oblivion share similar problems with a broken Economy, one class of character will make the game very easy but other classes will make the game impossible, and lack of transportation other than boring walking and magical teleporting.
That being said, I loved these two games and could type forever about where these games excel. My recommendation is to purchase Fallout 3.
It's essentially the same game but with ties to science fiction instead of a mythical land of magic. Is Fallout 3 a good game? How does it compare with Elder Scrolls 4?
Probably.
it is created by bethesda studios, same as tes iv , it is also based on the same engine (alot of similarities, like the rest system ,crime system, and stuff ) however it is a very different "type" of game. Oblivion is an open ended fantasy game, this is open ended, but its in a post apocolyptic setting with guns and more monsters and a darker theme. I play and enjoy both, my brother likes tes iv, but HATES fallout 3 with a passion, try looking up gameplay videos and seeing if its something you would like.Is Fallout 3 a good game? ep they are pretty much the same but one is more ancient mythology and magic while the other is mutations and futuristic weapons

Will playing oblivion before the other elder scrolls be confusing?
If I buy Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, without playing the other elder scrolls(I, II, III, V, etc), will it be confusing, would I not understand some stuff? Will playing oblivion before the other elder scrolls be confusing?
Playing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion before playing any of the other Elder Scrolls games wont be confusing. Each one of the games is based in a different provence of Tamriel, Oblivion is based in Cyrodill, while the others are based in the other provences. They arn't too tied together and you wont be confused if you havn't played the first 3. The story is great and all you could possible need to know is explained gradually throughout gameplay, have fun. :)

What will the next fallout/elder scrolls game be?
Everyone knows that bethesda game studios can produce a masterpiece of a game, will there be another fallout or possibily fallout 4, same question for elder scrolls, will there be a elder scrolls VI? Where would they take place? What will the next fallout/elder scrolls game be?
With how popular both Elder Scrolls and Fallout have been for Bethesda there is no doubt that they will continue both franchises for quite some time as long as they have a fan base and people who will buy their games. Another Fallout title is much more likely than an Elder Scrolls title right now since Skyrim was just released not even 3 months ago. What the name of the Fallout title will be is anyone's guess, as is the setting of the environment and which game (Fallout 3 or New Vegas) they will decide to continue on (if they continue on either...New Vegas was a separate beast than Fallout 3 that was very well done in my opinion). I would have to assume that Bethesda will focus the next Fallout title back on the east coast, somewhere in the Boston or New York areas rather than stay on the west coast. As for where the next Elder Scrolls will take place, I would like to see the game set in either Valenwood or Elsweyr, perhaps both since both are fairly small provinces in Tamriel and it would be interesting to see how Bethesda works out travelling between various provinces in Tamriel. What would be really awesome is if Bethesda made the game be the entire continent of Tamriel, and have something like "side games" in each province that would basically be like 9 games in one disc (one for each province of the continent), and then have each successive game be a different era of Tamriel from here on out...but that's a huge undertaking and will most likely not be the case. What will the next fallout/elder scrolls game be?
I've heard rumors of a new fallout coming out relatively soon. Whether its fallout 4 or something like new vegas I don't know but Fallout is much more likely than ES 6. Most common setting choice seems to be new york.
